Annual Meet Celebration

Our school, blessed by the spiritual guidance of Sri Mira Alfonssa (Pondicherry Annai Aravinthar), celebrates its Annual Meet every year on February 21 with a harmonious blend of spirituality, learning, and empowerment. The day begins with a spiritual invocation, followed by a variety of knowledge-oriented and skill-training activities designed to nurture the unique abilities of our differently-abled children. Teachers participate in cognitive enhancement sessions to refine their methodologies, while parents benefit from awareness programs that offer guidance, emotional support, and strategies to aid their child’s development. The event fosters collaboration through interactive workshops and motivational talks, creating a shared space for growth and unity. Concluding with moments of gratitude and reflection, the Annual Meet reinforces our commitment to holistic development in a spiritually enriched, inclusive environment.

District Sports Meet

The event was a celebration of athleticism and spirit, with our children securing Gold Medals in both events. Their outstanding performance not only highlighted their physical capabilities but also demonstrated their resilience and commitment to excellence. The victories were a testament to the hard work and training put in by the children, their coaches, and the entire Mira Upkar Trust team. The success at the District Sports Meet reinforced the importance of providing equal opportunities for differently-abled children to participate in sports, build confidence, and achieve their goals. This accomplishment brought immense pride to the Mira Upkar Trust, and the children’s success serves as an inspiration for others to pursue their dreams regardless of challenges.

Refresher Programs and Awareness Initiatives

Our institution places a strong emphasis on continuous learning and collective growth through regular refresher programs and awareness initiatives. Each month, under the guidance of Mrs. K.N. Latha, we conduct a refresher program at our main center, gathering feedback from teaching and non-teaching staff to identify strengths, address challenges, and enhance their professional development. On special occasions, such as The Mother Samadhi Day ’17, we host motivational sessions, including an inspiring talk by Mr. Murugabharathi titled “Inni Ellam Sugamae”, where he shared his experiences and insights on nurturing children with special needs. Additionally, the management organizes quarterly awareness programs exclusively for parents, aimed at empowering them with knowledge, emotional support, and strategies to better support their children. Yoga Therapy Program

At our institution, we firmly believe that yoga therapy is a profound art that nurtures the well-being of differently-abled children. Through its therapeutic and holistic approach, yoga facilitates healing and positive transformation, addressing not only physical health but also emotional and mental well-being. The practice resonates deeply within, creating a harmonious balance that strengthens their inner selves and uplifts their spirits. Recognizing its immense benefits, we conduct regular yoga therapy programs tailored to meet the unique needs of our children. These sessions are designed to focus on specific yogic asanas that enhance flexibility, motor coordination, and posture while promoting relaxation and concentration. Each asana is chosen carefully to empower children with better physical control, emotional stability, and self-confidence.
